Yip-Yip

Born away from a high-school camaraderie in March 2001 within the Orlando suburb of Wintertime Recreation area, FL, quirky electronica duo Yip-Yip (Brian Esser and Jason Temple) didn’t attempt to perform concert events. Instead, they focused on producing music in the home, using a selection of keyboards, samplers, as well as other instruments to generate their particular NES-meets-noise audio that eschewed melody for design and idiosyncrasy. In 2001 they self-released their debut full-length, 1, with Abilities appearing the next season. In 2003 the EP REARFOOT to Mammal premiered, and it had been also for this period that Yip-Yip made a decision to begin playing concert events. They began to show up locally, reservation their first proper tour in 2004 and carrying on onward following that, rendering a name for themselves by playing movies and wearing coordinating hooded jumpsuits (either white or black-and-white checkers) on-stage. In 2004 they pressed a restricted amount of their third full-length, Pro-Twelve Thinker, that was then found by California-based Purely Amateur Movies and reissued the next year. Though on the label, the music group continued to accomplish its artwork and documenting, releasing several singles and an recording, Within the Reptile Home, before turning up at New York’s CMJ Event in nov 2006 and 2007 and issuing another full-length, Two Kings of the Same Kingdom, in the wintertime of 2008.
