Yehuda Poliker

Along with his powerful vocals and dynamic stage persona, Yehuda Poliker is a main influence for the rock and roll music of Israel because the mid-’80s. As business lead vocalist for Benzin, Poliker helped to usher in a fresh period of Israeli modern music. As well as former-Benzin lyricist Ya’ackov Gilad, Poliker offers continued to create his presence experienced like a soloist. Poliker and Gilad talk about a family history as kids of Holocaust survivors. Gilad’s mom, the renowned article writer and poet, Helena, prevented being exterminated within a gas chamber by way of a past due minute reprieve. Poliker’s dad, Zoko, was delivered to a focus camp and separated from his initial wife and kid. Their story was told within the 1988 film, Because of That War. Within a past due-’90s interview, Poliker stated, “I am the only real survivor away from my children of 50 people.”
