Yearning Kru

Yearning Kru is a mysterious electronic musician, visual musician, and performer from Croydon, Britain who constructs dissonant, unstable, sample-driven pieces motivated by illusion and sci-fi. His music can be just as cryptic and collage-like as his artwork, resisting linear narratives and only sparse yet complete alien soundscapes that sometimes flare up into abrasive, granulated sound. Yearning Kru initial began launching music online this year 2010, you start with the digital EP Diyadh. 3 years afterwards, Cracked Lacquer/Vanadium (edited from 12 hours of improvisational recordings) made an appearance on patten’s Kaleidoscope label, accompanied by an associated remix EP. Yearning Kru after that became associated with Brood Ma’s Quantum Natives media collective, launching Forways and remix collection Fifth Ascents through the group in 2014. Pursuing additional online produces aswell as remixes for Brood Ma and Joane Skyler, Yearning Kru’s vinyl fabric debut, Copper Vale, was co-released by Globe Mu and Kuedo’s Kitchen knives imprint in 2016.
