Yea Big

Elevated on bluegrass, rock and roll, and Motown in Kankakee, IL, Stefen Robinson always acquired an interest in a number of music, both being a listener along with a performer. He began playing cello in 4th grade, and shortly shifted to clarinet and saxophone. In senior high school he found electric guitar and bass, and by his freshman calendar year of college he previously added the mandolin to his pile of equipment. He began monitoring digital mass media at college, which led him to beatmaking, an art he continuing after graduation when, newly transferred to Chicago and functioning at a pup daycare middle, he installed with regional avant-garde electronica statistics and in early 2006 released the record The Blowing wind That Blows the Robot’s Hands on Jib Door beneath the name Yea Big. Because of help from Chicago’s hip-hop community forums, for this same period Robinson got touching an MC called Kid Static. Each of them discovered that their musical likes aligned and shortly began focusing on a task together, leading to the self-titled full-length Yea Big + Child Static, which arrived in Oct 2007.
