Yanka Rupkina played a significant role within the developing recognition of Balkan music within the 1980s. As well as Stoyanka Boneva and Eva Georgieva, Rupkina created the Trio Bulgarka, a vocal group associated with La Mystere Des Voix Bulgares. Furthermore to recording their very own albums, Rupkina and Trio Bulgarka offered vocal harmonies for Kate Bush’s albums, The Sensual Globe and The Crimson Shoes. Rupkina consequently performed like a soloist for the nationwide tv and radio Bulgaria group, the Balkana. Rupkina’s self-titled debut single recording, released in Sept 2000, presented a duet performed with Linda Ronstadt.
