XTRMST

XTRMST certainly are a straight-edge hardcore music group formed in 2012 simply by AFI business lead vocalist Davey Havok and guitarist Jade Puget. Both music artists were attracted to the straight-edge way of life and music picture as teenagers and also have honored the subculture’s resolute philosophies of clean living (medication and alcohol free of charge, veganism, etc.) throughout their adult lives. Both began recording jointly at Puget’s house studio in LA in 2012, ultimately selecting the name XTRMST (pronounced Extremist) to represent the rigid straight-edge doctrines as well as the text messages in the music these were composing. In November 2014, they released their self-titled debut record on Steve Aoki’s (This Machine Kills) Dim Mak Information.
