Xploding Plastix

Twenty-two hours following sending away their demo, Oslo, Norway’s quirky electronica duo Xploding Plastix had been receiving record organization phone calls. Created in early 1999 by Jens Petter Nilsen and Hallvard Hagen, Xploding Plastix spent annually forming their audio before sending out their demonstration. Beatservice Information released their 1st single, “Deal with Me Mean, I WANT the Status,” in 2000 and it quickly became a popular of edgier DJs like Coldcut and LTJ Bukem. In 2001 Beatservice released their debut recording, Amateur Girlfriends Proceed Proskirt Agents, combined with the EP Behind the Eightball. Hand Photos reissued their debut in 2004.
