X-Angels

The Portland, OR-based music group X-Angels play an adult, solid make of roots rock bolstered by accomplished, veteran musicianship. Through the ’90s, the group became referred to as a formidable pub band within the Portland picture. Vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Tom McGriff founded the group in the first ’90s when he came back to Portland following a 15-yr stint in L.A. Bassist Affluent Gooch got previously been an associate of ’80s phenoms Quarterflash (known for the smash strike “Harden My Center”). Drummer Tom Royer and guitarist Steve Wayne circular out the lineup. The music group, initially referred to as the Cowboy Angels, released its debut, Get away From L.A., in 1994, pursuing it with X-Blonde (which noticed the addition of guitarist Wayne). Divine River adopted in 2000 and Four Bridges in 2001.
