Cuban singer/songwriter X Alfonso (a.k.a. Equis Alfonso) mixes jazz, hip-hop and funk with traditional mambo and bolero rhythms. His debut recording Real World premiered in springtime 2000 around the Velas label and in addition featured shows by guitarist Elmer Ferrer, percussionist Oney Cumba and vocalists Ele Valdes, Lien Diaz and Eme Alfonso.
