WZRD

The short description of WZRD is that it’s rapper Kid Cudi’s rock project with producer Dot da Genius as co-conspirator, however the relationship and idea go further back again than one might think. Both had discussed a rock-influenced group in the past when Genius was focusing on Cudi’s demos and his 2008 mixtape A YOUNGSTER Name Cudi. The duo would also end up being the group behind the rapper’s strike “Time ‘n’ Nite,” which will be the releasing pad for the Kid’s effective solo profession. WZRD became possible this year 2010 when both focused on the project; these were inspired by everyone from Electric powered Light Orchestra and Green Floyd to Nirvana as well as the Pixies. Though it was acknowledged to Cudi, the lower “NO-ONE Believes Me” provided the general public their initial flavor of WZRD when it arrived for the 2011 soundtrack towards the film Fright Evening. A year afterwards, the “Teleport 2 Me” one appeared, plus a self-titled debut record, both released by General.
