Wu Man

Wu Guy is a virtuoso from the pipa, a Chinese language lute. She actually is from the Pudong college of playing and was a pupil of Lin Shicheng. Wu Guy received the 1st Master’s level in the pipa, earned the first Country wide Academics Competition for Chinese language Tools, and received the town of Toronto Glenn Gould Protege Reward. She was selected because of this award by reward receiver Yo-Yo Ma, with whom she performed in the White colored House for Chinese language and U.S. market leaders. She’s collaborated using the Kronos Quartet and the brand new York SONGS Consort, and offers given first shows of functions by fresh Chinese language composers. In the close from the ’90s, Wu Guy was surviving in the U.S. She’s performed on recordings for several brands, including Axiom, Tzadik, Columbia, Drinking water Lily Acoustics, and Ellipsis.
