Woom

Eben Portnoy and Sara Magenheimer began playing jointly in the music group Traveling before splitting off and beginning a far more experimental lo-fi task called Fertile Crescent. After personal launching a 7″, the duo transformed their name to Woom. Structured out of Oakland and LA by method of Brooklyn, both spent the fall of 2009 documenting within a barn in Eastern Massachusetts. Eventually honing in on a D.We.Y., deconstructed audio, the duo toured European countries with the likewise unconventional Xiu Xiu — and hopped on displays in the us with Fiery Furnaces and Beirut. This year 2010, Woom agreed upon with BaDaBing Information and released their debut full-length Muu’s Method.
