Wooly Mammoth

Washington D.C.’s Wooly Mammoth was produced in the entire year 2000 by vocalist/guitarist Zac Eller (previously of hardcore action Bluetip), who as well as business lead guitarist Jason Stevens, bassist Aaron Claxton and drummer Phil Adler, dropped into step using the region’s wealthy custom for underground doom and stoner metallic. Local concert events soon drew the eye of Virginia-based Underdogma Information, which released the band’s four-song Ten Lot Baby EP in 2001, and delivered the band from the road countrywide, culminating inside a performance in the 2002 Emissions from the Monolith Event. Stevens’ following departure was used stride, as Wooly Mammoth just thought we would continue like a three-piece, and after befriending regional engineer and Hidden Hands bassist Bruce Falkinburg, the trio (recently altered from the introduction of bassist Kyle Connoly) documented two tunes for inclusion on the break up EP with Hidden Hands named Night Characters — released in 2004 by Meteor Town.
