Woollen Kits

Toward the finish from the 2000s, Australia converted into an unlikely hotbed for garage area rock and roll revivalist acts, and like their mates Royal Headache and Eddy Current Suppression Band, Melbourne’s Woollen Packages focus on scrappy, hooky tunes. Influenced from the hard-edged, no-frills musicianship of rings like Modern Enthusiasts as well as the Velvet Underground, the trio created in 2007. Buying a long term lineup, Tom Hardisty, Tom Ridgewell, and Leon Applebee released the 7″ solitary Teenage Love in ’09 2009, accompanied by two even more 7″s (Maths and Shelley), before documenting two full-lengths in 2012, their debut recording Woollen Kits and Four Ladies.
