Woodpigeon

The brainchild of Canadian singer/songwriter Tag Andrew Hamilton, indie rock/chamber pop outfit Woodpigeon (pared down from Woodpigeon Divided by Antelope Equals Squirrel, with regard to brevity) formed in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2005 being a trio that mainly stuck to street performing. Upon shifting back again to his indigenous Calgary, Hamilton shortened the name and started documenting his debut beneath the moniker, the properly entitled Songbook. The limited-edition Treasury Library Canada found its way to 2008 (it got an effective release in ’09 2009), accompanied by Die Stadt Muzikanten this year 2010, and Thumbtacks and Glue in 2013. T R O U B L E, Woodpigeon’s 6th studio long participant, found its way to early 2016 and highlighted guest performances by David Thomas Broughton and Mary Margaret O’Hara.
