Rapper Won-G spent the very first 15 many years of his existence splitting time taken between Brooklyn and his local Port-au-Prince, Haiti, bathing in a legion of music and linguistic contrasts. His family members subsequently settled completely within the U.S., where he started entering talent contests. Success of this type led him to record a small-scale indie-label recording, Do It GET IT DONE, in 1995 by using his dad and sibling. Won-G following founded his personal label, Happy Globe, together with a friend’s parents, and captured the hearing of Beyond Music, which found his 2000 recording The Royal Impression. Made by Won-G’s sibling Dubble M and offering cameos from Layzie Bone tissue, the Outlawz, Yukmouth, and Sylk E. Good, The Royal Impression projected an upbeat, positive energy along with a freewheeling, eclectic selection of influences which range from pop, dance, and metropolitan to the noises from the rapper’s indigenous Haiti.
