Nearly all Lauffensteiner’s lute compositions were suites containing between eleven and thirteen different courses or pieces. The majority of his music was constructed in a performing design. He was respectable by his contemporaries. In 1709 Lauffensteiner resolved in Graz and by 1712 was operating towards the Bavarian courtroom. He trained the princes how exactly to play the lute and additional instruments. Due to his distinguished assistance he was appointed the chamber counsellor (Hofkammerrat) in 1739.
