Wolf Gang

Formed in ’09 2009 by London-based vocalist/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Utmost McElligott, English indie rock and roll outfit Wolf Gang mixes swirling, symphonic alt-rock with quirky electro-pop. Originally prepared as a single automobile/pseudonym for McElligott, the achievement of 2009 singles “Bits of You” and “The Ruler and Most of His Guys,” plus a record offer from Atlantic, prompted McElligott to include a long lasting live drummer, Lasse Petersen (the Rakes), and guitarist, Gavin Slater (Spirits), towards the task. Travels with Metric, Miike Snow, and Florence and the device helped to improve the band’s group of fans, and in 2012 these were asked to open up for Coldplay for the U.S. leg of their Mylo Xyloto tour. The band’s full-length debut, Suego Faults, found its way to 2011 and was made by Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lip area, MGMT).
