Sketching from such disparate places as Throbbing Gristle, Black color Flag, and King Tubby, the Michigan trio Wolf Eye produce harsh and hypnotic electronic scenery that combine the frenzied energy of hardcore using the nihilistic menace of early industrial and sound. Regular touring in the first 2000s brought the group a solid cult group of fans and opened up the hermetic globe of the sound underground to a fresh generation of interested indie rockers, punks, and experimentalists. In the beginning, Wolf Eye was the single moniker for Nate Youthful, vocalist and main device contractor of the group. Small was previously an associate of digital absurdists Nautical Almanac, Neanderthal overall performance troupe the Beast People, and party sound duo Mini-Systems.
