Wolf Alice

An evocative North London alt-rock clothing led by vocalist Ellie Rowsell, Wolf Alice deftly mixes folk, grunge, and electronic components with classic ’90s indie rock and roll. Formed this year 2010 by Rowsell and guitarist Joff Oddie, the duo released an eponymous EP individually before expanding right into a four-piece in 2012 with the help of drummer Joel Amey and bassist Theo Ellis. The recently minted quartet released a flurry of singles before placing out an effective debut EP, Blush, in 2013. The EP garnered reviews that are positive, with some critics evaluating the group to Elastica, Garbage, the Duke Soul, as well as the Pixies. The band’s sophomore EP, Creature Tunes, adopted in 2014. A set of singles, “Large Peach” and “Bros,” showed up prior to the Mercury Prize-nominated full-length My Like Is Great in June 2015.
