Wizlav was the Prince of Pomerania and Rugen as well as the brother from the Queen of Norway, Eufemia. His fee and patronage from the arts led to many German epics getting translated into Norse verse and a knowledge of various other poets who found his courtroom. Minnelieder and Spruche, constructed by Wizlav, survive, with melodies, in the Jena manuscript. Themes broached in his functions include spiritual and moral problems. Agreements of his parts demonstrated that he previously a distinctive rhythmic feeling and usage of melisma. A feeling of formal framework was also among the qualities that recognized Wizlav’s work.
