A gospel vocal group located in Detroit, Michigan, See was an all-female outfit originally conceived being a counterpart to the favorite gospel action Commissioned. Organized by Michael Brooks, an associate of Commissioned, the initial lineup of See highlighted vocalists Tina Brooks, Diane Campbell, Yolanda Harris, Lisa Web page, and Marvie Wright. This model of See released their debut record, Keep FINDING OUT ABOUT, in 1987; the record, made by Brooks and Fred Hammond, was released by the reputed gospel label Tyscot Information. See shrunk from a quintet to some quartet because of their second record, I’ve Come TOO MUCH, after Marvie Wright still left the group. Polygram Information agreed upon the group with time because of their third record, 1989’s WE ARE ABLE TO Change lives. The LP was their initial to appear over the Billboard Gospel Albums graph, peaking at amount 30, and received a Grammy nomination, while See also received a Dove Prize nomination as Greatest Modern Gospel Group. See transferred to CGI Information for 1990’s Mean EVERYTHING YOU State, while 1993’s Regular introduced another brand-new lineup of the group. Tina Brooks and Yolanda Harris still left the quartet, and Laeh Web page and Lou Ann Stewart had been put into the ensemble. Regular became a graph success, increasing to amount 11 over the Gospel Albums list, and See was honored with the Stellar Honours (for Greatest Contemporary Group Functionality), along with the Gospel Music Workshop Association (Greatest Contemporary Melody). Arriving in 1994, HE IS ABLE TO Do the Difficult was another achievement over the Gospel Albums graph, climbing to amount 12, while 1995’s A Melody in the night time fared better still, peaking at number 3.
