Witchfinder General

Within their time, Witchfinder General was considered among the less-important bands to emerge from the brand new Wave of British ROCK movement, however they have become a favorite early influence among bands within the doom steel scene. Created in 1980 by Zeeb Parkes (vocals), Phil Deal (guitars), Woolfy Trope (bass), and Graham Ditchfield (drums), the music group was heavily affected by Dark Sabbath and released just two albums, 1982’s Loss of life Penalty and the next year’s Close friends of Hell, before splitting up. Ironically, these became even more notorious for his or her comical addresses (offering the music group in medieval outfits torturing semi-naked ladies) compared to the band’s natural, post-Sabbath grind.
