The first 21st century could be remembered as the rock era when bands began ‘downsizing’ the quantity of bandmembers, Various duos appeared during this time period (who handled all of the chores themselves), including British heavies, Winnebago Deal. Hailing from Oxford, the group started like a quartet nevertheless, during 1999. Having a sound much like traditional Sub Pop rings and Queens from the Rock Age group (when Nick Oliveri mans the mic), two of the initial members exited soon thereafter, departing Ben Perrier (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Ben Thomas (drums) to fend for themselves. Producing a name for themselves the old-fashioned method (touring incessantly via vehicle — for hardly any pay out — and offering demos), the duo ultimately began creating a faithful following, which resulted in a gig assisting Fugazi at London’s Discussion board, which got the interest of the top of indie label Fierce Panda Information.
