Willie Sugarcapps

Willie Sugarcapps is a Gulf Coastline collaborative project composed of performers and songwriters Can Kimbrough, the duo Sugarcane Jane (Savana Lee and Anthony Crawford), Grayson Capps, and Corky Hughes. The group’s specific members are disseminate from Nashville to Alabama. They initial played jointly at Frog Fish-pond, Blue Moon Plantation in Silverhill, Alabama, a little town that took its regional music — and music artists — significantly. After several get-togethers, the group made a decision to fund and record its debut. They enlisted Grammy-winning engineer Trina Shoemaker to co-produce, engineer, and combine. All ten music were cut within a, live, eight-hour stretch out over the dogtrot of Crawford’s and Lee’s house in Loxley, Alabama, with each musician picking right up whatever instrument sensed appropriate towards the melody being documented. The finished item, simply entitled Willie Sugarcapps, premiered by Royal Potato Family members in August of 2013. A couple of years afterwards, the group reconvened to record another album at Popularity Studios with manufacturer Trina Shoemaker. The causing Paradise THE FOLLOWING appeared in Apr 2016.
