Andrew “Smokey” Hogg was the true “Smokey” Hogg. Willie Hogg was an imposter who was simply located in N.Con.C. and documented mainly after 1960, acquiring the name of “Smokey” after Andrew experienced died. He documented mainly for Spivey Information, and his function is primarily an unhealthy imitation of Lowell Fulson. Although Andrew was younger guy, his sound displayed an older design in Tx blues.
