Willie & Allen acquired a unitary for the Sansu label in 1966. Both edges, “Baby Do Small” and “I Don’t REQUIRE NO One,” had been compiled by Allen Toussaint and both are New Orleans spirit with duo male vocals, relatively in the mildew of Lee Dorsey music like “Escape My Life Girl.” It’s been speculated that Willie & Allen had been Allen Toussaint himself and Willie Harper and had been also the performers composed of the Rubaiyats, who also do a unitary for Sansu in 1966. Both edges from the Willie & Allen one — and both edges from the Rubaiyats’ one, aswell — are on the Sundazed compilation Obtain Low Down!: The Spirit of New Orleans ’65-’67.
