Acoustic guitarist William Coulter began recording as soon as 1981, although his single career didn’t really log off the ground before 1990s. Furthermore to stints using the organizations Isle of Skye and Orison, Coulter installed with cellist and fellow Orison member Barry Phillips for three collaborative albums — 1990’s Basic Presents, 1993’s Tree of Existence, and 1996’s Music around the Hill — intepreting melodies from the mystic Christian sect the Shakers. Switching to fresh age-tinged Celtic music on his single works, Coulter shipped Celtic Crossing in 1995, accompanied by 1997’s Celtic Classes and 1999’s The Crooked Street. Simple Presents Collectiion premiered a year later on.
