Wild Nothing

Jack port Tatum, formerly of Jack port as well as the Whale and Facepaint, began building his shimmery, synth-washed indie pop recordings beneath the name Crazy Nothing in the summertime of 2009. Rising at the same time when a couple of C-86-esque groupings (e.g. Crystal Stilts, the Discomfort to be Pure in mind) were in fashion, Tatum’s task garnered a little bit of hype having a synthy, glimmering cover of Kate Bush’s “Cloudbusting.” Captured Songs picked up Crazy Nothing immediately after the project’s 1st demos arrived, and it wasn’t a long time before Tatum recruited bassist Jeff Haley, guitarist Nathan Goodman, and drummer Maximum Brooks to circular out the group’s live audio. Crazy Nothing’s 1st single, Summer Vacation, premiered on Captured Songs before 2009 found a detailed. The band’s debut full-length, Gemini, premiered in the springtime of 2010 and garnered Crazy Nothing all sorts of crucial acclaim. After liberating a follow-up EP, Golden Haze, close to the end of 2010, Captured Songs reissued Gemini in Feb of 2011 with the help of Tatum’s cover of Kate Bush’s “Cloudbusting.” For his following record, Tatum caused maker Nicolas Vernhes at his Rare Publication Room Studios.
