Wide Receiver

The cinematic-sampling funky breaks act Wide Receiver was founded by Steve Bloodstream and Ian Gotts. The London-based duo started recording materials and in 1996 delivered a demonstration to Tag Jones, the top of premiere big defeat label Wall structure of Sound (Propellerheads, Les Rythmes Digitales, Wiseguys). Wide Recipient contributed a monitor to the Wall structure of Audio compilation Drill down the Nu Breed of dog and followed using the Obtain Totally Cained EP independently Woof! label in middle-1997. Also at that early time, Bloodstream and Gotts gained a reputation because of their sampling prowess, frequently from hard-as-nails United kingdom mod films just like the Italian Job and obtain Carter (both offering Michael Caine). The set remixed a number of works, including 18 Wheeler, Arkarna, Afrika Bambaataa, as well as the Cardigans, amongst others. The one “Breakbeat Sushi” became a membership hit after getting put together on Lacerba’s Big Defeat Top notch, Vol. 2 in early 1998, and Wide Recipient released their record debut AND LASTLY… in 2000.
