White Reaper

The raucous rock & roll group White Reaper formed in Louisville, Kentucky, and in the first stage of their existence sprinkled liberal levels of bubblegum hooks and psychedelic weirdness over their short, energetic garage punk songs. Produced by vocalist/guitarist Tony Esposito and twin brothers Nick and Sam Wilkerson (drums and bass, respectively) while these were still teenagers, the group released its initial one in 2013 (“Conspirator”/”The Cut”). The band’s energy and music soon captured the hearing of Polyvinyl Information, which signed Light Reaper and released their self-titled, six-song EP in June of 2014. Right before its discharge, and by adding Ryan Hater on tips, the band going out on an extended tour with Youthful Widows. On the way they started working on materials for an record, which they began with engineer Kevin Ratterman if they got house to Louisville. Documented during the period of one breathless week, Light Reaper CAN IT Again premiered by Polyvinyl in the summertime of 2015. Next time they strike the studio room, they caused Ratterman once again, but this time around added a wholesome dose of area rock electric guitar, ’80 rock and roll swagger, and even more keys with their sound. The ensuing record, The World’s Greatest American Band, premiered by Polyvinyl in early 2017.
