Children from the ’90s, American Education was raised in a period when Nirvana was common rock as well as the Strokes were currently elder statesmen. Mixing designs and styles, the record included the singles “Competitors” and “I CANNOT Heal.” The music group came back in 2016 using the Restless Dreams EP, which highlighted the singles “Epidermis Deep” and “Different Pets.” On Restless Dreams, they bridged the distance between their synth- and emo-rock affects, incorporating darker post-punk shades just like Interpol and Bloc Party.
