West 78

Called for the highway that goes by the band’s rehearsal space in Vista, California, Western 78 performs sharp, aggressive contemporary rock and roll that recalls from Ben Harper as well as the Spin Doctors towards the Crash Test Dummies and Dave Matthews Music group while incorporating hard rock and roll, jazz, gospel and R&B in to the blend. After looking for like-minded music artists, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Kerry Bell discovered guitarist Brian Donaldson and in 2000, both dubbed themselves Western 78. After many drummer and bassist adjustments, the band resolved on the line-up which includes bassist Ted Trepinski, drummer Butch Baron and keyboardist Gary Dark brown. The group released their traveling and uplifting debut, American Woman in-may of 2002.
