English singer/songwriter Wes Finch mixes together folk, blues, Americana, and literate indie pop. Located in Coventry, he spent quite a few years fronting a revolving roots ensemble known as the Dirty Music group, with which he documented his first recording, 2008’s Now Appear Here, It is the Dirty Music group, Observe. Although he continuing to utilize the Dirty Music group as his live music group, he stripped down his audio for 2010’s mainly acoustic solo work Asthill Grove. His 2012 follow-up, Mayflower, was a little more sonically expansive, with plans which range from atmospheric field recordings to eclectic full-band plans. Echoes of American performers like Conor Oberst, Elliott Smith, and Ryan Adams could be noticed in Finch’s design, which feels rooted in folk music but gets the ambition and elegance of pop. Following a launch of Mayflower he started touring more greatly, playing night clubs and festivals as well assisting U.K. folk veterans like Billy Bragg and Martin Carthy. Dealing with maker Gerry Diver (Sam Lee, Lisa Knapp), he documented his 4th LP, the ambitious and even more experimental Awena, that was released in 2015.
