Wes Farrell

b. 21 Dec 1940, NY, USA, d. 29 Feb 1996, Fisher Isle, Florida, USA. Among pop’s most effective entrepreneurs, Farrell increased to prominence in the first 60s as a co-employee of Luther Dixon. He co-wrote many music for the Shirelles, like the frenetic R&B melody ‘Children’, later included in the Beatles, before signing up for Roosevelt Music within an A&R capability. Farrell agreed upon Neil Diamond as well as the Feldman/Gottehrer/Goldstein group, and demonstrated a flair for unashamed pop through his association with Jay AS WELL AS THE Americans.
