This Vancouver-based group includes the husband-and-wife team Dan and Cristina Handrabur, who have been both born in Bucharest and fled Romania to reside in Geneva, though they didn’t meet until these were both students on the Conservatoire in Geneva. Drawn jointly by similar preferences in music and artwork, they collaborated on music and dropped in like. Dan moved along with his family members to Toronto, Canada, soon after his graduation; a 12 months later, Cristina became a member of him plus they wedded. As Weed, the Dan and Cristina mix funk, trip-hop, and electronica components into their personal unique musical mix and best it with Cristina’s unique vocals. Their debut recording Hard to Destroy premiered in 1999.
