Weather Theatre

Climate Theatre had small in keeping with the majority of its Seattle brethren in the second option half from the ’80s. Following the separation of his music group A Western Family members, vocalist John Massoni created Weather Theater in 1985 with David Thierry (drums), Liz Wick (bass), and Eric Burnham (acoustic guitar). (Thierry and Wick had been also former users of the Western Family members). Weather Theater more carefully resembled the moody psychedelia of Echo & the Bunnymen compared to the rock clamor of Seattle peers like Green River and Soundgarden. In 1988, Climate Theater released its first one, “Bridge to Heaven,” on Sunlight & Steel, accompanied by an EP. Maverick Seattle DJ Norman B. performed the Doors-like “She HAVE NO IDEA Why” and “Great God’s Present” on his radio present, but Weather Theater usually received scant airplay and promotion within their hometown. The group’s debut record, Dusk, was written by the German label Irritated Fish Information after Sunlight & Metal became struggling to fund the LP during its documenting. Weather Theatre split in 1989. Massoni after that flew to London, Britain, to find brands thinking about his music. In the first ’90s, Massoni released two EPs beneath the name Maxine on Blast First Information. Massoni documented an EP, The Sundowner Periods, with Sonic Increase in 2000.
