We Are Loud Whispers

Sonya Westcott (half from the psych-folk duo Arthur & Yu) met multi-instrumentalist Ayumu Haitani (of japan group 4 Bonjour’s Celebrations) in 2007 when her music group toured Japan. Both reconnected a couple of years later on and began composing songs collectively via e-mail. Haitani sent Westcott completely completed instrumental paths to which she’d add lyrics and vocals. The procedure had not been unlike whatever the Postal Assistance utilized to record their recording Give Up. The end result is similar, as well, with Westcott’s delicate and sweetly melancholic vocals installing flawlessly with Haitani’s off-kilter hip-hop beats and bedroom digital melodicism. Fitting how the Postal Service’s Jimmy Tamborello offered vocals to get a monitor on We Are Loud Whispers’ 1st recording, Suchness, that was released by Barely Art in-may of 2013.
