Wayne Kemp

b. 1 June 1941, Greenwood, Arkansas, USA. Kemp’s dad was a engine mechanic so when an adolescent Kemp drove race cars. His curiosity transformed to music and, developing his own music group, he toured the south-west. In 1963, he obtained fame being a songwriter when George Jones acquired a big strike with ‘Like Insect’.
