Acoustic rock outfit Watershed emerged among the many successful Southern African exports of their generation when the one “Indigo Gal” topped the German pop charts. Produced in Johannesburg in 1998, Watershed was the automobile of vocalist/songwriter Craig Warren Hinds, a previous high school British and history main. After some early lineup adjustments, the supporting ensemble solidified using the addition of guitarist Paul McIver, bassist Vernon Hodgetts, drummer Tulsa Pittaway and viola participant Lizzie Rennie.
