Acoustic rock outfit Watershed emerged among the many successful Southern African exports of their generation when the one “Indigo Gal” topped the German pop charts. Produced in Johannesburg in 1998, Watershed was the automobile of vocalist/songwriter Craig Warren Hinds, a previous high school British and history main. After some early lineup adjustments, the supporting ensemble solidified using the addition of guitarist Paul McIver, bassist Vernon Hodgetts, drummer Tulsa Pittaway and viola participant Lizzie Rennie. This incarnation of the group agreed upon to EMI South Africa in 1999, issuing For the time being the following calendar year; the debut solo “Glow on Me” released the group to nationwide stardom, as well as the follow-ups “Indigo Gal” and “Words” produced them superstars.
