This UK acoustic folk rock ensemble comprised Ray Wright (b. 27 Apr 1949, London, Britain), Trevor Sandford (b. 30 June 1952, Cookstown, North Ireland), Peter McMum (b. 10 November 1951, Salford, Greater Manchester, Britain), Judy Slater (b. 1953, Glasgow, Scotland; fiddle) and William Thorp (b. 30 Apr 1952, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, Britain). These were created at Cambridge University or college in 1971, and switched professional in 1974, carrying out at various schools, folk night clubs and celebrations. That same 12 months Hillclimbing FOR NEWBIES premiered, and Harvest Period adopted in 1976. A five-week tour of east and mid-west USA preceded their demise in 1976. William Thorp, a fantastic violinist, has remained in music, operating 1st for the Welsh Country wide Opera, then your Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and recently in various chamber organizations with especial desire for baroque and early music.
