Washington Sisters

A long time ago, two girls stayed up during the night performing every melody they knew. Years afterwards, similar twins Sandra and Sharon Washington had taken their late-night ramblings and laughter on the highway. Daring and joyful, the Washington Sisters brought an uplifting heart of desire to their two albums, Understated (Iceberg Information, 1987) and Consider Two (Shsawa Music, 1991). They performed a huge selection of concerts, including over two-dozen performances at music and ethnic festivals within the U.S. and Canada. Their mixture of a cappella, jazz golf swing, blues, gospel, and isle rhythms provided a distinctive basis because of their message of tranquility, women’s rights, satisfaction, and cultural variety.
