Warren Covington

Trombonist Warren Covington is a program musician and performer because the past due ’30s, in addition to an arranger and bandleader. He used Isham Jones in 1939, after that caused Les Dark brown and Gene within the middle-’40s before signing up for CBS’s music personnel. Covington led The Commanders group in 1946 and 1947. He documented with Tommy Dorsey’s music group in 1950, and became its head after Dorsey passed away in 1958. Covington toured using the music group from 1961 in to the ’70s, proceeding it under his name. Through the ’70s, Covington documented studio big rings associated Charles Mingus, Randy Weston, Bobby Hackett and George Benson, while also playing on different film soundtracks.
