Warren Bernhardt

An excellent soloist who’s influenced by Costs Evans but has his own music identification, Warren Bernhardt has appeared in lots of different settings over time. He studied traditional piano, performed in Chicago while participating in university, and was with Paul Winter’s sextet during 1961-1964. After shifting to NY, Bernhardt was with Gerry Mulligan, Clark Terry, George Benson, and Jeremy Steig, furthermore to doubling being a studio room musician on many pop schedules. He was with Jack port DeJohnette’s Directions (1976) and Measures Ahead (1984-1985), and it has often led his very own trios. Bernhardt provides recorded several great schedules for DMP.
