Warehouse

Atlanta-based quintet Warehouse pits melodic elements from close by Athens’ college rock heyday (B-52’s, R.E.M.) against an artful post-punk strategy. Behind the ragged vocals of vocalist Elaine Edenfield will be the firmly wound plans of guitarists Alex Bailey and Ben Jackson, bassist Josh Hughes, and drummer Doug Bleichner. After a year or two of local gigging, they produced their debut on Bayonet Information using the Tesseract LP. Referencing a number of affects from Stereolab and Cable to painter Wayne Abbott, they offered a complicated but rewarding art-pop audio. Warehouse’s follow-up, Super Low, found its way to September 2016.
