Wappa Gappa

Wappa Gappa was formed in 1992 in Tokyo, Japan. Their name loosely means “I break handcuffs.” The group considers it to proclaim, “become free, become yourself.” The group will an extremely interesting mixture of traditional Asian music and intensifying rock and roll. In 1996, they released their 1st album Yamatai, also called THE ENVIRONMENT From Support Fuji. In 1998 their second disk, A Myth, premiered.
