The quieter half of the acclaimed hip-hop duo Cannibal Ox (who counted El-P as their producer), Vordul Mega (or Vordul Megilah) first began rhyming at 13 within the mid-’80s when hip-hop is at its golden years, and continued onward following that. After Cannibal Ox released the acclaimed The Cool Vein in 2001, each member continued to go after his own single function. In 2004 both released their debut albums, Vast Aire with Appear Mother… No Hands and Vordul Mega with Trend of Yung Havoks. In 2005 Vordul helped to create the 11-guy group the Reavers, made up of himself, Goldenchild, Billy Woods, Akir, Spiega, Kong, Hasan Salaam, Dom Pacino, Karniege, Priviledge, and Keith Experts. The Reavers released Terror Firma that same calendar year, as rumours of another Cannibal Ox record continuing to brew.
