San Francisco’s Von Iva comprises vocalist Jillian Iva, bassist Elizabeth Davis, organist/keyboardist Becky Kupersmith, and drummer Kelly Harris. Ahead of developing Von Iva, Davis spent seven years documenting and touring using the riot grrrl music group 7 Season Bitch. She and Harris also performed using the sci-fi rock and roll clothing Clone for a short while, releasing one record, Not Feeling THAT CAN COMPARE WITH Yourself Today?, in 1998. Five years afterwards, Davis was starving to start out another group. Iva was executing with her boyfriend’s music group within a Bay Region membership in early 2003 when Davis discovered the youthful vocalist. Within weeks, Iva still left her sweetheart and old music group behind to become listed on Davis, Kupersmith, and Harris. They lent Iva’s great-grandmother’s forename and released their soul-influenced disco-rock to SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA by the finish of the entire year. Shows using the Raveonettes, I Am Spoonbender, the Hiss, and Metric implemented. Von Iva’s self-titled debut EP found its way to planting season 2005. IN-MAY 2006, the music group announced the departure of founding member Elizabeth Davis, who still left the group to spotlight motherhood. Iva and Harris shaped the side task, JK Fab.
