Voigt & Voigt

Two of techno’s most revered manufacturers, brothers Wolfgang and Reinhard Voigt began releasing materials jointly in June 2002, when the Cologne, Germany natives contributed both paths — the gnashing “Korn” and moody “Roxy” — to Kompakt’s third Speicher discharge. Within a couple of months, they supplied both edges of Speicher 5, like the chugging melodic techno monitor “Eyesight 03,” a high light of Kompakt’s early years. After Speicher 10 (2003) and Speicher 22 (2004), their result slowed, with just Speicher 54 (2007) and Speicher 69 (2011) added through the entire following many years. Activity found in 2012 with the start of their club-oriented Erdingertrax 12″ series. The initial three produces preceded Die Zauberhafte Welt der Anderen, an record of all-new cinematic materials released on Kompakt in Feb 2013. Wolfgang (aka Mike Printer ink, Gas), that has released recordings under way too many aliases to list completely, can be Kompakt’s creator. Reinhard (aka Kron, Pentax) released the label’s ninth 12″ and 12th recording.
