The unusual Washington, D.C., indie rock and roll combo Viva Satellite television! formed within the mid-’90s, around the heels from the separation of Rob Christiansen’s previous group, Eggs. Christiansen, who was simply playing a little with Grenadine, installed with Lauren Feldsher to create Viva Satellite television! (later to become became a member of by Dan Morrissey, Ian Jones, and Paige Smith). The initial group was obviously formed as a great outlet, but quickly blossomed right into a music group/musical movie theater troupe, going as far as to debut using a full-fledged rock and roll opera record, Nishma, in 1996.
